Senior Box Distribution

Important Notice for New Applicants

If you are a new applicant, food boxes cannot be guaranteed for you on this date. Registered participants will receive their distributions first.

Instructions for the Waiting List & Surplus Boxes

If you have not yet registered or are a new applicant, we still encourage you to come:

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive around 10:00 a.m.
  • Waiting List: Our team will help you learn how to officially sign up for the waitlist.
  • Extra Boxes: If any extra food boxes remain after all registered participants have received theirs, they will be distributed to those waiting on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to serve as many seniors in our community as possible.

The Houston Food Bank Senior Box Program will be available on Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Christ’s Church, 1401 Bay Area Blvd., Houston, TX 77058. Participants must come inside the building to receive assistance.

Who Qualifies?

  • Must be 60 years of age or older
  • Must reside in an eligible county, including Harris, Montgomery, Galveston, Brazoria, Waller, Walker, Chambers, Liberty, or Fort Bend
  • Must meet household income guidelines:
    • 1-person household: Monthly income not exceeding $1,729
    • 2-person household: Monthly income not exceeding $2,345

What to Bring
Please bring a photo ID or other acceptable identification. Applicants will be asked to provide age, income, and residency information.
